Within the park there is an enormous, more than 500-year-old oak called Konstanty, after Konstantin Pavlovich, the brother of the Tsar of Russia and heir apparent.
Konstanty is one of the oldest trees in this part of Poland, with a trunk circumference of more than four metres. In former times, wickerwork chairs were placed in its shade, where coffee was enjoyed on long summer evenings. This was a favourite place of the wife of the owner, Cecylia Grabowska née Dębowska, and she often received guests here. Legend has it that Tsar Alexander I himself rested here after a long journey.
